Check out the so called 'Troll Route'. It's a UNESCO World Heritage site. another favourite is The Atlantic road which was intended to be a railway line but in the mid 1980s the norwegian government decided to build a road instead. It opened in 1989. Some 5 miles long....quite unique, lots of unusual curved bridges and twists.
